Neytrutva: Ek Abhiyaan, one of the most reputed NGOs in Ahmedabad is best
known for its unique aim of instilling a sense of traffic mannerism in people,
especially youths.Traffic
manners is the disciplined behavior of motorists which, although is not mentioned
among the basic traffic rules, is expected from them while driving; this makes a
thin line of difference between traffic rules and manners. There is a wide array of
tasks which the interns at the NGO are exposed to, that help them to grow and
nurture their leadership skills little by little. Interns at Neytrutva are provided with
unique jobs like producing and redesigning of paper bags (spitting bags) for safe
disposal of any kind of garbage and distributing them at different locations to
motorists; educating children below the age of 10 years about traffic manners and
how it is different from traffic rules through performing skits and plays; preparing
questionnaires and collecting data by interviewing people randomly at various
locations; writing articles on topics like ‘Road rage And The Need To Stop It' and
'Understanding Traffic Manners' for the print media; and also conducting exclusive
donation drives.
