Road rage is a serious problem in India. Every time you drive on Indian roads, you are probably going to witness incidents of road rage. It is a distressing encounter. Blaring horns, danger of encountering outrage among high-furious drivers altogether contribute to outbursts of anger and outrage among the drivers. This results in violent attacks, shouting and contending, not offering space to different drivers, battling, and hitting and knocking different vehicles in fight. Drivers who drink and drive or the ones who get angry easily have a higher chance of experiencing sudden outrage set off by different factors on Indian streets and are more vulnerable to participate in forceful and violent driving conduct. (Sagar et al., 2013)
Such behaviour of drivers can only increase the severity of accidents. Road rage usually results in vandalism which poses an immediate and significant risk to property and life. According to a report by the Police Control Room, 10-20 cases of road rage are registered in Delhi everyday with most ending up with people getting injured due to extreme violence. Road rage victims seek for revenge and further indulge in committing more criminal offences giving rise to legal implications. Road rage affects the lifestyle of the people directly or indirectly involved in the incident because of all the mental and physical distress.
