Road rage has been an issue on our streets for quite some time, and it appears to just be deteriorating. Episodes of shouting, inconsiderate signals, and barbarity are accounted for regularly on the roads.
Most occurrences are because of misconception or the obliviousness of a driver. The vast majority have the propensity of taking things the wrong way and therefore these incidents of violence and altercation take place. Nonetheless, not all road rage incidents result in mishaps but rather include violence.
In Gujarat, over 1,30,000 cases of accidents due to road rage were reported in the year 2020 and over 1,03,000 cases in the year 2019. In Ahmedabad alone, more than 11,000 and 14,000 cases of accidents caused by road rage were recorded in the years 2020 and 2019 respectively. (Shastri, 2021)
These incidents sometimes take a revolting turn resulting in people getting seriously injured. It is sad to see that despite the fact that numerous individuals assemble around them, there is not really any individual who puts forth an attempt to pacify the situation. People give ideas on how the circumstance ought to have been dealt with, yet no one stages forward when the assistance is really required.
On the off chance that you find that you have unsettled another driver, even if the mistake isn't really yours, don't respond or fight back to the next driver. This will only add fuel to the fire, making the situation worse. Tragically, it doesn't seem as though this issue is disappearing any time soon. Therefore it is important to be mindful and have proper road etiquette. Reconsider before you aggressively sound the horn or abuse, since no one can really tell what may provoke the individual in the vehicles around you. Returning home securely is more important than giving somebody a piece of your mind.
